This series of bold lines of simple black lines and gender symbols was provoked by the overturning of Roe V. Wade — ending the federal constitutional right to abortion in the United States.
As much as Syahidah believes that women should have sovereignty over their bodies, including unrestricted access to modern contraception and abortion, she also reflects on the games both sexes play to have the "upper hand". She sees these "games" that both males and females play in life akin to a game of tic tac toe, where we rarely have winners or losers unless one is completely naive, new to the game, or letting one's guard down.
